Michael Davis, Certified Imago Therapist and Couples Workshop Presenter, has been sharing the benefits of Imago Relationship Therapy with his clients for more than 10 years. He helps his clients understand and integrate the skills and practices that make relationships work. Michael likes to compare relationships to canoeing down a river. One thing he guarantees is that there are rapids downstream. Therefore he teaches people to paddle in calm waters, to navigate through rapids and, if they tip over, how to get back in the canoe. He does this with insight, warmth, and gentle humor.
Michael has been a psychotherapist in private practice in Colorado since 1981. He has worked with gifted children and their families as the staff counselor at the Gifted Development Center, in Denver, for over 25 years. In addition, he has taught graduate school classes at Denver University’s Center for Teaching International Relations and delivered numerous presentations at Gifted Conferences and Myers-Briggs Type Indicator™ Conferences.
Susan McCallum is a Certified Imago Educator and Couples Workshop Co-Presenter. She has been an artist for over 25 years, during which time she has taught classes privately and at Waldorf Schools in Denver and Boulder. She has supported hundreds of people to access and develop their creativity through her teaching.
Susan has spent the last six years developing her skills as a relationship educator in order to join Michael in teaching couples to manifest the relationship of their dreams. She is the only locally certified Imago Relationship Educator, and she is trained to offer group introductions to Imago, to coach individuals, couples, and families in the use of the Imago Dialogue process, and to co-lead Imago workshops and group therapy. Susan brings deep intuitive skills and a keen understanding of relationship dynamics to her practice.
Susan and Michael have been together since 1992, married since 1996. Between them, they have four sons and one daughter, aged 27 to 40. Their relationship sings on key, and has been an inspiration and model for many other couples. They also have direct experience with divorce, blended families, step-parenting, and being grandparents and elders. When it is relevant, they share openly from their experience. Susan and Michael walk the talk of Imago.
